Anyone ever take a Royal Caribbean cruise with a baby or toddler?
I read on another website that babies with diapers (including swimmies diapers) are not allowed in their pools... is that true? Was your DC allowed in any of the water areas?
Was there a child's pool area?
TIA!!

Yep. It's true. No baby area at all either.
We took a really nice cruise in December, but it was really hard with DS, who was 8 months at the time.

We went on a Princess cruise when DS was 9 mo. While non-toilet trained children are not allowed in any of the "big" pools, they do allow children in swim diapers in the children's pool. The water there was filtered so if there was an "accident", they would not have had to drain the whole pool, clean it out, etc. I don't know for sure if it was allowed or not, but on the cruise we took, they did allow it. I also asked someone in the kid's camp and they said it was an unwritten rule to allow young children in the baby's pool area as long as they were in a swimmy diaper.

Royal doesn't have that.
I don't know well they enforce it, because it was crappy weather when we went tho.

Navigator of the Seas. I've been on others too. I've heard RCCL is good with kids over 3.

Re: Anyone ever take a Royal Caribbean cruise with a baby or toddler?
I know from friends (and if they are like celebrity which they own) that they are strict on RCCL and while it is kid friendly - technically it is a CDC rule that kids who are not potty trained are not supposed to be in the pools. I know some lines get around that rule by having a small children's pool.
On every celebrity and princess I have been on parents always try to put their kids into the pool only to be told to remove them.
If you go to http://boards.cruisecritic.com/ you can chat on a RCCL forum area and can talk with people who have sailed on your exact ship and get a more accurate answer.
