anyone ever use a PODD? For moving and storage?

Did you store it at your house or with them?

Was it very expensive?

If you didnt use them, who did you use? Thank you!

Re: anyone ever use a PODD? For moving and storage?

DH and I used them. It cost the same per month (maybe a bit less) as a regular storage facility. The only extra fee was the transport fee ($65 each time it was moved). It was $10 extra/month to store it at their facility.

What we did: had it at our house for 2 weeks while we packed. Sent it to storage facility for 2.5 months - we lived with my ILs temporarily and they did not want it on their driveway because it was summer and they were afraid it would sink into the blacktop. In September, we had it delivered, unpacked, and then they picked it up a few days later.

We had a GREAT experience. It was so convenient and they have fantastic customer service. We also got a 10% discount for mentioning Home Depot, though I'm not sure they are still offering that.

That is our exact situation.

Our house will not be ready by the time we are out of our apartment so we are staying with my parents for a fews months! I'll give them a call and get a price thank you!

edit:

Which location did you call? We are moving to Kings Park

Agreed! We actually used 2. we packed at our leisure it was wonderful. Then we had 5 weeks inbetween moves so they stored it at their facility. Then we had 1 pod at a time delivered to our new home to unpack.

My BIL just used them recently and it went smoothly as well! He also used them for storage for a couple weeks/months.
