Anyone experience diaper rash and chafing from antibiotics?
Anyone else's DC experience diaper rash and chafing around their privates as a result of being on antibiotics? My mom says it comes out in through her urine and irritates her. Anyone hear otherwise? No other rash or irritation anymore else so I don't "think" it is an allergic reaction.
Poor baby is ALL red down there.  I put butt cream on it and hopefully tomorrow when it is warm we can let her go diaperless and air for a while.

It is normal. It is like ayeast infection. Can you DC have yogurt?? Just keep putting ointment on the rash and if she can have yogurt give her some of that too. I have three DC and when ever they had antibiotics they would always get a rash.

It could be a yeast infection - I know in adults you can get a yeast infection from antibiotics which is why they suggest you eat yogurt or take acidophilius if you are on antibiotics so it isn't a stretch for them to get a diaper rash - she might need a cream for it.

Dd is on antibiotics right now and also has a red hiney. Ive been putting balmex on it.
