Anyone familiar with Diono car seats?
DH likes the Diono Radian. I have never heard of them before. Are they new? He likes it because they are not as wide as other car seats. They seem very comfortable.
Anyone have one or looked into buying one?

It is a new name, the brand used to be called Sunshine Kids, I have a Radian65 for my DS, it is very narrow and easy to fit next to other car seats. He is definitely comfortable in it.

Re: Anyone familiar with Diono car seats?
Diono is formerly Sunshine Kids. The Radian has been around for a long time. It has been redesigned as a 3 in 1 convertible to booster.
They're a niche seat and are not compatible to install with some vehicles. It's a love it or hate it seat. If you're RF, and have an older infant, invest in the angle adjuster as well. They're MUCH narrower than most other seats. It is a nice, tall seat that will get most kids to 40/45lbs RF (depending upon model)

Definitely agree--I researched 3 across in my vehicle and found this seat would work, but it wouldn't work rear facing in the center of my SUV.

Sorry to crash, but do you think a Radian would fit with 2 graco infant seats in a BMW 3-series?

You could also try posting on or searching car-seat.org, that is where I found the info I needed. HTH!

I wonder if it would fit in the middle of DH's car. I like to sit in the back with the kids on road trips. I used to sit in the back all the time when it was just 1 DS. Now I can't fit back there anymore.

This.
The thing about 3 across combos is you don't know until you try. Someone may try it and they have a whole thread about successful 3 across installs at c-s.org. Things can vary model year to model year for vehicles. Sometimes seats you wouldn't think would work together puzzle nicely together.
BBB has the Radian in store they will let you bring it out and try it. Or, order it from somewhere like Amazon that will let you ship it back. You can probably get a good deal on the Sunshine Kids branded Radians right now since they're being clearanced out for teh DIono branded seats.
I know many people have issues with the Radian and Hondas RF, especially in the odyssey. Like I said, too, if you've got an older infant or a toddler, invest in teh angle adjuster to get it more upright
