Anyone feed their pet Nutro? A warning... (and a question)
I came across this article on consumeraffaris.com and thought it should be posted here.
Food linked to illness
About a month ago we switched Lilly to the Nutro Natural Choice Sensitive Stomach and she has been doing great on in, but I'm torn as to whether or not we should continue giving it to her. She has a very sensitive stomach and has made great improvements since we started feeding her this.
Do I risk the chance of her getting sick from this food or do I find her a new food?

I would stop using the Nutro. Atleast until they figure out the problem. Most of the stories say they used it for years without a problem & just recently started having issues. Maybe they changed an ingredient that is causing the problems. Just to be safe I would stop using it.

I have fed Kobie Nutro since we've had him. Grrr. Now I'm all freaked out!

I think we are going to switch her to Canidae. I'd rather not risk anything.

Thanks for posting this. I feed my dog the Nutro Sensitive Stomach too. I had no idea. I am nervous to try another food with her because she has a sensitive stomach and the Nutro is all that has worked for her but I think I should after reading the article.

Eukanuba has a sensitive stomach formula you might want to try.

Re: Anyone feed their pet Nutro? A warning... (and a question)
Thank you for posting this. Our rottie has had some incidents of throwing up (we thought it was because he was eating too much cardboard or inhaling his treat too quickly) He also has been "going" much looser than normal. Also it's been noticed that he's drinking far more water.
We're going to transition him to a new brand. We're not sure which one yet.
