Anyone feel like all they do all day is yell?
I am my wits end! DD is 2, DS is 4 and we dont go more than 10 minutes without me telling someone to stop what they are doing, break up fights over toys, etc etc! I can't entertain them all day and the second I pay my attention somewhere else it chaos! I can't deal with it anymore. I want to run out the door the second my DH gets home!
I know everyone says enjoy this time, they are only little once, but right now, I'd give anything to fast foward to the school aged years

I feel the same way. Some days I want to record "leave her alone" and keep it on a loop  . I am going to start taking yoga though to help me relax a little and try and do some things at home. The instructor told me that was her saving grace when her kids were little like this. I hoping she is right.

My kids are the same age and I have a 6 yr old too and I felt the same way - all day long it was yelling and breaking up fights. The worst is when you hear yourself yelling "Stop yelling!"  After awhile they don't even hear it anymore so I've been concious about not yelling. They take on that energy you give off from yelling too and get even more amped up. I have found trying to talk calmer is really helpful - more than you'd believe. I have family members where the parents are both always yelling (I'm lucky bc my DH is not a yeller) and the kids have totally tuned them out, it's really insane bc it takes on a whole other vibe. I mean the kids barely even answer at all even when they aren't being yelled at - you have to ask them Q's 4x to get an answer. They just learn to tune out.

Some days I feel like this and I only have 1 right now!! I often have to make a conscious effort to stop yelling at her and try other approaches.

It's even worse then! My niece and nephew are 5 & 11 and I yell at them alot more than my 2 year old.
