Anyone find out the sex for baby #1, but not for baby #2?

Just curious! I am not pg...but we are talking about it

I found out first time around...and I loved knowing I was having a boy...for me, it helped me to envision him and think about a baby boy.

BUT DH was the one who convinced me to find out, initially I wanted the surprise in the delivery room.

I kind of want to experience both ways...but is that strange? I think it would be less weird if my first were a surprise, and second not.

i agree with you - i wanted the surprise more than my dh did and he convinced me to find out..but i would, in theory, like to be surprised but don't think it'll happen...btw, i'm not preg but just wanted to add my 2 cents

Nope, just the opposite! With my first, we didn't find out, we were bring home a baby and it didn't matter. With the second, we had bedroom logistics to think about and we needed to find out so we could get things in order.

nor pg but we want a surprise next time ..not sure if we can hold out on the preparations but thats the plan for now

I am counting down the days until we find out (10 weeks ). I really have no preference, but I just loved knowing with DD. Plus...she has a pink room and this baby is probably sharing a room with her, so I'd like to know ahead of time.

We would like a surprise next time....I feel there is so much excitement surrounding the first and not knowing the sex would bring a big level of excitement to the second (not that it isn't exciting anyway)

I was thinking about doing that.

With my first, I really wanted to know because it made it real for me. I think with the second (when time comes), since I know what to expect, it will be real, but the surprise will add something special.

... though I gotta say that with my first being 3 weeks old iI can't even think about second!

We found out with the 1st but I don't know if I'd want to for the 2nd. I'll most likely have a c-section, which you have a date for, so there's no surprise or extra excitement if you know what you're having too. just my .02

I don't know...I'll cross that bridge when we come to it bc its DEF NOT yet

I don't think I knew you were pg again!! CONGRATS!!!!!

I KNOW when the time comes, i'll be so impatient to know. After DH convinced me, I was so happy he did b/c I loved thinking about my son...

BUT..there is that part of me that would love the anticipation of not knowing...however I think I'm losing my patience as i get older, lol. We'll just have to see i guess!

With Damien we found out. We decided to wait with Jaidyn because I had a scheduled c-section so we knew the date and stuff so we decided we wanted at least one surprise. I'm glad I got to experience both

After the fiasco we had with finding out the sex with my son...we aer going to find out the sex of #2 (when that time comes) but might not share with anyone.

for us it will probably be the opposite - with #1 I didnt want to know but dh did - I convinced him to not find out by saying that with #2 we can find out if he wants. We havent discussed it again so will see how the conversation goes this time.
