Anyone get a mortgage in the last couple of weeks?
I'm curious what rate people are getting for a 30-yr fixed these days.

I was quoted 6.125%, 0 points. (but I work for the bank)
it would probably be 6.375% with 0 points for a non-employee

We locked our rate in a few weeks ago and it was 6.375%...with 1 point - we only end up paying for a half point though because DH works for the company we went with. When I heard the rates were going down still I was upset - but that's life. I was afraid not to lock in the rate in case it went up. Oh well, you win some, you lose some.

i was quoted 6.625...but i also need an un-conventional loan
ETA: It just went down to 6.5 for me!

DH says the rate at his bank is 6.625 to 6.825 depending on the day. That's for a 30 year fixed, no points.

usually, if the rates go down and you locked in - your can let the rate lock expire, or your lender can drop the rate (they usually do, since you can just go elsewhere if the rates drop enough!). you really have the bast of both worlds in your situation.
