Anyone getting a baby sling?
We received the Baby Bjorn as a shower gift, but I was wanting to get a sling for the first few months. Any recommendations?

I love this. There is something similar, but not this brand at BRU that I registered for, but I think I will buy another once the baby is born too.

ohhh Im gonna go look at BRU , I want one too and would rather see if I can get it as a gift cause DH is killing me over all the money I ahve been spending .

I borrowed a sling from a friend whose son has outgrown it -- I can't wait to use it! I am also getting a Baby Bjorn for DH. Here's a great sling website:

I met a mom in NYC who had one for her 6 wk old little boy. It was perfect.
You can even use the excess fabric as as a "blanket" on top of the baby by flipping it back up.

I got the baby wrap because you can use it many different ways:

Not sure about the fashionable part, but whatever!!

I recommend this sight for new sling users if you are interested in a pouch sling (I preferred it to a ring sling).
You can get a sling on their sale page for around $20 which is a great price to try something out.

I got one from Rocking baby Sling. I haven't used it at all because DS was so big, he always looked scrunched up in it. Now, if I tried to hold him down while carrying him, he would have a fit. I am saving it because I think it's great for when they get a little older because it helps you support them while holding on your hip.
