I had both my kids at St. Catherine's. I go to the offices of Stampf, Wess, Mann, Gentilesco, Marin, and a few others in Smithtown rin the Med Office Building on the hospital grounds...

I'm going to be at St. Charles. I use Suffolk OBGYN. They're decent, but lately I've been a little unhappy with some of their (12) doctors in particular, but nothing enough to make me switch so far.

I'm giving birth at St. Charles. I use Suffolk OBGYN, the office in Patchogue. I like the doctors. Oddly enough, the one doctor we really like because he talks about baseball with us is the doctor that my husband says is too pretty. I guess he feels bad about having a single, pretty man at my coochie.

That's funny! Which doc is that? I don't think I've had him yet! I go to the Port Jeff office, but they rotate around I know.

Dr. Stritmatter. I'm surprised my DH is letting me go meet him tomorrow, alone.
BTW: Give queenb a note on her post about her BFP. SHe's looking for doctors in the area.

Have fun tomorrow then! I haven't had him yet, but I'm sure I will soon. I did not like my last doctor there (Lee) at all! Have you had him yet?
I'll see if I can find queenb's post!

I go here as well...Dr. Gentilesco is my main OB, but I'll be seeing all of them at some point during my pregnancy (except Dr. Weiss- she is moving soon).

Yeah, perhaps I caught him on a bad day, but I did not like him (Lee) at all, and I usually am just fine with most doctors. I have liked every other Dr. in that practice, I've been going to them for years as a GYN patient.

Re: Anyone giving birth at St Catherines/St Charles?
I am also delivering at St. Charles and I also go to Suffolk OB/GYN. Dr Strittmatter is one of the nicest doctors I have ever been to! But, I hate to break it to some of the ladies on here, he is MARRIED! LOLOL. He actually mentioned his wife in one of my visits. I personally didn't like Dr. Lee too much the last 2 times I saw him....he didn't give me much of a chance to speak and ask questions and I felt rushed out of the office....Dr. Stritmatter never made me feel rushed at all. Overall, I lke them....

I just had an appt with him on Thursday and he was wearing his wedding ring. DH didn't make it to the appt, but it was one of the first things I told him on the phone. He's more at ease now.

EXACTLY how I felt with him, exactly! Like I was inconveniencing him by asking him a question, a question that he dismissed like I shouldn't even be asking him because I'm worrying too much!
