anyone go to Fire Island Last night?
I was there- i have not been there in ages but I felt like an old lady!! I feel like the crowd is soo young.....I went with my girl friends. We went to baci then Mermaids. I definitely felt out of place!

That's one of the reasons we stopped getting a share there - the crowd changed so much (or we got old not sure!). We are going for a day/night at the end of August, I can't wait - I miss it so much!!!

I'm afraid that reality show that debuts tomorrow is going to change the demographic even more. We stopped doing a share house a couple of years ago but are going back labor day weekend. I hope it doesnt ruin my memories there

Oh I know! I am dying to see it though. One of our friends still has a share out there and had to sign a waiver - I think he might be on one of the episodes.

We rented at OBP for 5 years(met DH there) I miss it so much but my friends who still do it say it's their last year. They say it is so different.

We were at Watch Hill watching DH's band play. It was an older boating crowd there.

I drove by it in my friend's boat, but we didnt go anywhere there. I can say I went to the Hamptons July 4th weekend to stay with a friend who has a house there. We went out one nite and the crowd was just so young, so I understand what you are saying.

We decided that last summer ('05) would prob be our last summer going there. We still have some friends that have a house every year, but the crowd is really young now. We haven't been yet THIS summer and I don't think we will go.

we were there yesterday and my DH spent the night (i didnt have a sitter for the baby so I went home) But we have spent some nights out there together...our friends still have a share house out there. I loove it out there and wish we could buy a house so badly.
I am over the bar scene - but hanging with our good friends is always fun!

we go during the day with the boat-
the place we go is an older crowd- we have the smallest boat there - so we are the youngest by about 10 years
but we have fun- I have only been there once at night-

We were at the bar near the men's bathroom, I was wearing a black top. We were there from like 8:30-11.

I love Fire Island. I think the crowd is fun. But DH and I are only 26 w/ no kids. So, we enjoy the bar thing.
