Anyone go to Stony Brook OBGYN?
I wanted to change my obgyn, so I decided to go to Stony Brook Obgyn. Was wondering if anyone goes here (Sayville Location) and who your doctor is? How do you like it?

i love them!! i usually go to julie welischar, but I have known megan lochner since she was a medical student, and i love jeff porte. Okeefe is okay too! But Julie is my favorite:O)

My doc is Dr Funt but he does not do OBs so now I will be seeing Dr. Welischar. Another friend of mine really loved Dr. Lochner. I have to say I've been going there for years and all the doctors are wonderful.

you will love welischar, but you will end up seeing all of them, which is a good thing, because any one of them could end up delivering you :O) they are all fantastic! are you going to deliver at stonybrook? the docs that cover them the weekends that they are not on are fantastic as well. when i went in to have the baby, my docs were not on that weekend, but there was a doc named dr reavis who ended up delivering my DD and he was wonderful! i was in labor for 3 days, and he was so attentive. and welischar, even though she was not on that weekend, called me multiple times for moral support and to make sure that i was alright! i love her!

love them all there..dr welischar delivered my dd and dr porte my ds...they were all great though everytime i saw them throughout the pregnancies

Thanks this is good to hear. Dr. Welischar was my friends OB and she had great things to say about her. I'm not due until November But I've been going to the practice over 10 years so I feel very comfortable

I go to them and love Dr. O'Keefe. He was wonderful during my pregnancy.

Dr. Funt is who I have an appt with...just going for a check-up, but wanted to discuss ttc stuff with him. Do you think that is going to be a problem?

No not at all, he's very nice, he just doesn't do obstetrics so when you do get your BFP you will need to see someone else. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the docs there personally

No not at all, he's very nice, he just doesn't do obstetrics so when you do get your BFP you will need to see someone else. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the docs there personally
