Anyone go to Suffolk OBGYN?

I normally go to the Smithtown office and i've gone to the same dr. there for the last couple of years. They also have offices in Port Jefferson & Wading River.

My problem is that they are a large practice and i have only met 2 other doctors-one i liked and one i hated. So when i'm in labor whoever is on call will delivery the baby.

I'm going to ask at my next apt about meeting the other doctors but I was just curious if anyone could give me a little idea about the other dr's if anyone uses them.

I go to smithtown too, but I've only been there twice so far. Once to meet with Dr. Shaffran, and once for a sono. I go back today to meet with another dr. Im not sure of her name though.

I go there!!! I have met with probably 9 of the drs...liked all but 1!!! But yes when you go into labor who ever is on delivers the baby.

i like Drs. Patraco, San Roman, Edwards, Strittmeter, Marhsak (female) very nice

I also go to Suffolk OBGYN. My husband and I are so impressed with their care since I am pregnant. I am currently on bedrest and have to go once a week to be monitored. As a matter of fact, I have an appointment in a little while in Port Jeff. I have seen quite a few of the doctors there and have only been not so thrilled with one of them. I was told about 2 weeks ago that Dr. Shaffron has left the practice. Because of my situation, it was recommened that I see the same doctor each week for the past month, so I have been seeing Dr. Strittmatter. He is WONDERFUL! I never thought that I would be comfotable seeing a male doctor, but he is great. I have recommended their practice and him inparticular, to a few people who are also very happy. I've gone there for years, and loved them during my pregnancy. I've had at prenatal visits: Tufano, San Roman, Lograno, Edwards, Lee, Richter, Petraco, and Shaffran. I have liked them all (had one bad appointment with one of them which got me really irritated and annoyed, but on a subsequent appt. with him, he was much better...guess I got him on a bad day the first time).

When making my appointments, they actually encouraged me to see a different doctor when possible, to meet them all. I actually ended up delivering with Dr. Marshak, I had never met her before (go figure, I'd met over half the practice though!), but she was great!

I never was seen by Dr. Strittmatter, but he was the Doc on call at the hospital when I was released, so he went over our discharge paperwork and info. He seemed very nice.

I actually like so many of them there that I don't know who to see for my annual exams, I like so many (but my favs I guess are Tufano and Lograno, with San Roman a close third). But they've all been great.

I went there up until about a year ago. I had always seen Dr. Ross and I thought he was great (I'm guessing he's still there). I always felt comfortable asking any questions, etc, etc. I stopped going there because I needed to find a place closer to home and work and because I often found it hard to get an apointment.
