Anyone go to the Nascar Race in Dover?

My dad and brother and a big group go every year in the fall....

Does anyone have suggestions on where to stay taht is not out of this world expensive? Or, maybe know of a place they can rent for the weekend?

You mean for next year? This years Dover race happened in September.

yes, I mean for next year! They are putting down the money for next years race already and were just exploring options as to where to stay..they stayed in salisbury, MD lthis year, about an hour away because the hotels closer were over 200 a night....

I have not been to Delaware since I was five BUT I have plenty of NASCAR experience.

1) Hotels that usually charge $99 a night will be going for at least $200 a night. There will most likely be a 3 night minimum.
2) Book AT least 8-10 months in advance
3) Definitley check the major chains first, I don't know what they have in Delaware but look into (Hilton, Marriott, Travelodge, Days Inn, Holiday Inn, etc...)
4) ALWAYS check tripadvisor.com before making a reservation

My cousin has been to the Dover race a bunch of times, but he usually brings his camper down.

My DH went with a bunch of friends to the Dover race a few weeks ago. They rented an RV for the weekend.
