Anyone got creative or fun ideas for a bridal shower?

My FSILs' is coming up and her MOH said if I could help out with the theme or games/things to keep guests busy as she opens gifts.

I can't ask on LIW cuz FSIL is on there.

I reuqested that they send out recipe cards with the invites so guests could write out their favorite recipes. I got some REALLY good ones!!!!

The apron game

Buy an apron and have the bridal party buy lots of utensils to pin on the apron. Make them practical and a couple of things they would never think of buying until they need them. Pin all of the items on the apron. Have the bride wear the apron in front of all of the guests. Have her walk around the room for about 2 minutes. Then have the bride go into another room and have the guests try to list as many things as they can remember seeing pinned to the brides apron. The person with the most wins! Then tell the bride she gets to keep the apron!!

well.. my shower was kinda small- about 30 people, and my sister did
" poppers". she got cute quotes and funny jokes about love/marriage... she printed them out- and cut them up so each quote/joke was on a seperate slip of paper. then, she took each slip of paper and wrapped them up somehow- THEN, at the shower, each guest got one. before i opened each present, the guest who the present was from had to open their popper and read the joke or quote outloud... its kind of hard to explain, but it REALLY REALLY kept people entertained and laughing while i was opening presents instead of them just sitting there.
another BM also made a video with DH ( FI at the time) they asked him questions about me and our relationship... at the shower, the BM would ask me the question and get my answer before they played his answer on the video it was SOOO cute to see his expressions while he was trying to remember cetain things... and now i have a copy as a souvenier

How about the Toilet Paper Bride? We did this at my shower and it was sooo much Fun!!!!

The guests are split up into 4 to 5 person teams. Each team chooses a "bride" and dresses her up in her bridal gown and veil using ONLY toilet paper. When the allotted time is up, the real bride-to-be chooses the best bride and the winning team!

toilet papering was fun. I went to a shower and each table did it. Then the bride-to-be decided on a winner and there was a prize.


I also like the purse game. You have to see who has things in their purse...different things like: tampons, floss, condoms, pill box, marker, etc. You can think of some funny ones.

If you want a theme.....how about a Garden / Flower theme? I helped a bit with DH cousins shower & some of the things that were done were:

Potted plants as favors: The tags say "May todays showers of happiness bring tomorrows gardens of love..."




These are the small terra cotta pots with 1 small impatien planted in it.

You could give out seed packets as prizes for bingo. You could do a floral themed invite.

If you want another theme, How about a Seashell theme? My shower was held near the beach and my favors were White Chocolate Giant seashells filled with Sand(using light brown sugar) and mini seashells and sanddollars. My guests thought the brown sugar was real sand.
