Anyone have a child with Asperger's?
What were some of the early warning sides?
Did you also think it was ADHD originally?
(Although from what I have read, it is common to have both).

DS who is 5 in Kindergarten, is dx with both. His attentional issues have been apparent since he was 2. And the feedback I got from teachers reflected that.
From 3-4, he started to demonstrate quirky behaviors. He has always been "obsessed" with DVDs. Not necessarily watching them, but holding the cases, opening and snapping closed the case. Being in charge of them, putting them in the DVD player. His social interactions were limited. He would happily greet people, and be so excited to see them, but then go off and do his own thing. He also has other stim behaviors, humming, hand motions.
He received CPSE services, and he has come SOOOOO far. He got 1 year of speech, 2 years of OT, and play therapy. He would not be where he is today without those services.
Teacher feedback usually reflects the attentional issues, the teachers don't see the stims that I see.
