Anyone have a DH that can't do ANYTHING until you get home??????????

I am seriously losing it here.
DH just called and was all "I can't fix the toilet until you get home"

Ummmm, WHY NOT?

Becasue I have to go to the hardware store.......

OK, go before you p/u the baby from DC......

Well, I have to drain the other toilet to see how it's hooked up.......

OK, bring the baby with you to the hardware store......

And then a litany of excuses.......
Today is my late day at work and when I get home I like to relax, not have to be his handyman's assistant....

Anyone have a DH who will come up with a ZILLION and one excuses as to why they can't do things because of DC?
Put him in the bouncer, PNP, or whatever and here's a thought, TAKE HIM TO THE FRIGGIN STORE WITH YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, not done yet....

I have learned to become so independetn with DS because DH works a TON lately, so I have to learn to bring DS with me, but DH on the other hand, needs someone to be around at all times in order to "get things done".
it's VERY annoying!!!

ummm yeah. Josh is with me non stop.

Leo puts in atleast 60 hours a week and I don't have family or sitters...so Josh does ever errand with me.

LEo's face was priceless the first time I told him to take Josh out with to go to the bank and barbers...I said he is just going to sit there and watch you get your haircut...it will be fun for him.

Monday I had a denist appt.

Before I left, I had all of josh's pool stuff out for Leo and already put the sunscreen on him.

I leave the dentist thinking they are in the pool(dentist was 2 hours)...come home, no pool, haven't left apt yet....Leo was hungry...so it took you 2 hours to cook and eat????? it was 10 AM!

I was soooooooooooooo mad that I told josh he was going to go to the pool...for 2 hours the poor kid stared at the pool stuff. So, I get changed, now noon....go to pool with him, come home at 2...nap was off...

Leo did not understand???? make yourself a sandwich and get your a$$ down to the pool!!!!!!!!

Same here. DH is gone from 7 till 8 most days, and sometimes gets calls to work from home in the evening. So I'm it, and I'm used to taking DS everywhere with me--to the hair salon, doctor's appts., etc.

Two weeks ago I was really sick over the weekend. So i wanted to sleep as much as I could and hopefully recover for the week ahead. We needed some groceries, at least a few things, and DH wanted to go buy some cable. So he's complaining that he can't buy his cable! I told him take DS with you, he loves going out, and he's no trouble at this point. It took awhile for it to sink in that yes, he could take the baby with him .

Then he came home all happy because all these women kept stopping hm and telling him what a beautiful baby he has . So funny!

I hear you-DH never takes DD with him, except to day care but that's it. He doesn't take her to the store unless we all go together. He also doesn't do anything around the house if it is just the two of them and she is up. I think it's just a mom vs. dad thing and he will catch up. Part of the problem is I enable him. I need to do that less.

DH is the same way. I feel like I constantly say to him, "How do you think I get things done when you're not home???" FIGURE SOMETHING OUT like we all do. EEERRRRRRRRR!

DH is the same way too! Not only will he not take her anywhere or do anything around the house but he doesn't move her either. I'll be gone 2 hours and she's still in the bouncy seat and DH will say "I think she's cranky". Well, move her!!!! Put her in the exersaucer, jumperoo, pnp, anything!!!
