Anyone have a DVD system in their car?
Ok...so when we got our new Ford Explorer, it had the DVD system in the car...I didn't really want it...but it's there. My step-daughter was exstatic and I figure it would probably be good when the baby comes along.
Now..I can't figure out how to let my step-daughter watch a movie (using the headphones) while I can still listen to the radio or a CD. Is this even possible?
There was nothing about this in the user manual...and I feel like a dork if I have to go back to the dealer and ask them

There should be a jack/hole with a little headphone next to it. Plug headphones into the jack

There's usually a button on the main audio system up front that allows you to toggle the system so that the rear users can hear DVDs while the front users can hear audio.

Re: Anyone have a DVD system in their car?
In my minivan (Sedona) the headphones are wireless. There's a button on the side which turns it on but you must be IN the car in order for it to work (there's an infrared sensor). Then just put in your movie and watch away. If you want the movie broadcast to the whole car, you have to tune your radio station to an AM channel, I forget which since I never use this feature.

Ford didn't supply a separate users manual for the "entertainment" system?

Mine works as follows...
Headphones are wireless and automatically connected once turned on.
If I want to hear the dvd too I press the "CD" button on my radio twice till "AUX" appears on the radio screen.
If I want to hear the radio or anything else I just use the corresponding settings on the radio.

No...nor the wireless headphones. I already told DH to call them and get these things
