I like it with a little minced onion, tomato & lime juice. Oh and of course a margarita.

I heard that if you don't want it too onion-y (<-- so not a word!), chop up the onion, and rinse it with cold water, then add it to the guac. Good luck!

Funny you should ask. I JUST made a batch! It is almost the same as mom2nico's---love the idea of sour cream btw! This was my second attempt. I went to a party last week and could not stop eating it. I got the recipe--but for some reason it was wwaaaayyy too onion-y--(love that word!) The recipe called for TWO red onions for 5 avocados!! I only used 2 avocados and less than one onion. (I must have misunderstood)

This time I used:
2 avocados
less than 1/4 of a red onion chopped
very fine
1/4 of a jalapeno
2 plum tomatoes--(I took the seeds out)
juice of one lime
chopped cilantro
salt and pepper
almost a capful of white vinegar
hot sauce
crushed red pepper

I love it iced cold!

Chop up one RED onion
Mix it with a container of CHERRY/GRAPE tomatoes
chop up cilantro
Cube 2 avacadoes
sprinkle with lime/lemon juice
add with a heavy hand salt and pepper
I feel like I'm missing something...yes, a chopped up clove of garlic.

1-2 tomatoes diced (depending on how tomatoey you want it)
1 medium red onion diced
2 cloves garlic
1 jalapeno
Lime Juice 1-2 tablespoons
Cilantro
Salt and pepper
