Anyone have a "Green Pan"? *update, I used it to cook dinner tonight*

my Mom just bought us a grill pan from this line of cookware. she bought one for herself and has used it to grill steaks and chicken. My parents are not the type to get excited about products but they have RAVED and RAVED about this pan and how wonderful it is. my Dad said he's had the best tasting steaks he has ever had at home using this grill pan.

I haven't used it yet, but will be using it tonight for dinner. just wondering if anyone else has it - and what you think.

All of my pans are Green Pans. I threw all my other ones out and bought an entire new set. I love how fast they cook, how easy they are to clean, and that all the chemicals are not in them.

My Mom has them and she even brought a set to my sister in Aruba and we will use nothing elseChat Icon

that is great to know!

DH and I just broke out our new set of Emerilware - it was a wedding gift. we started using it about 2 months ago. and while I like them, I don't "love" the set. they are SO heavy and the handles get really hot. and since they're stainless, unless I use a ton of cooking spray or oil, everything sticks to the bottom! that is really annoying. the one good thing is that I throw them in the dishwasher and they come out looking brand new.

if this Green Pan is all its cracked up to be, I am buying a whole set. I LOVE how light-weight the grill pan is.

as far as I know, the only cookware not made in China is All Clad or that iron cookware from France. both are REALLY expensive.

Re: Anyone have a "Green Pan"?

Were did you purchase the pan? Cost? Do they also have green bakeware?

Side note: We had All Clad pot & pans and they were simply the pits (b!tch to clean & scratched way too easily)! We're now using Calphon and although happier, again we are considering trying another brandChat Icon.

The Green Pans are at Macys
Martha Stewart has her own line, Target has them too.

The ones I have are at
www.green-pan.com and were on QVC with Todd English.

MOM SAYS that they are sold in Brylane home too, but with glass lids, not stainless.

China had all those reports of toxins in things, and killed so many of our pets with their food. that's what i am talking about. don't know if i want to cook from people that put poisins in their foods and don't test things!
doesn't say much about our country for letting the crap in!

everything made in China has to be tested - it is up to the company importing the product to test it
