Anyone have a kid allergic to "nothing"?
DS has times when he has trouble breathing and needs breathing treatments to help him back to breathing normal.
We had him tested at the allergist and he has seen more than one doc. All the docs say that he has an allergy but nothing specific.
FIL is telling me that I am not doing enough to get answers from the doctor. I need to keep pushing until they identify what is wrong.
REALLY???!?
It makes me feel like I am not doing what I am supposed to do as a mom. What CAN I do? They are the professional? I don't love the answer, but what else can I do?
Anyone else have a kid allergic to nothing specific???

Ugghh...I hear your frustration!
Both my boys have chronic ear infections and sinus infections. My ped and ENT felt they had allergies. I took them to an allergist and while DS1 showed mild sensitivity to cats, dust, pollen and some other, DS2 who is 17 mo old showed nothing
The allergist doesnt even buy it. He said they could still have a sensitivity to an allergen that just hasnt been brought to the surface yet.
I also have breathing issues with DS2 which is why the allergist is skeptical. His colds always go into his chest and he sounds wheezy alot. The dr feels he may develop asmtha as he gets older.
