Anyone have a party at a Park?

With a large picnic area and a place to go in case it rains?

Can you tell me where, how much and if it would accomodate like 80 adults and 40 children...

I was looking into Belmont Lake State park and will likely go there but its for Noahs 1st b-day and his cousin did the same and I wanted somewhere different if possible to avouid "comparisions".

TIA

I'm not sure where you live, but I went to a place in Smithtown, called Hoyt Farm park for a huge party last summer. Another great place is Islip Beach. In Nassua, Brady park has what you are looking for.

Where do You live?

I think it's Lido Beach that has a picnic area under the big mushrooms.....Nassau beach has a big picnic area too.

We've had parties at Rye Town Park (near Playland) in the Pavilion. It's relatively cheap, beautiful on the water and fully covered in case of rain.

Our friends throw an annual party there every year. Great option as you can hang out under the overhang if it pours.

Crashing over her...we had our engagement party at Sunken Meadow Park in June and my friends have a huge bash at Belmont every year.

You have to get a permit from the state park and state approx. how many people and how much alcohol you will have, but that's about it. The biggest thing is to make sure you tell people about the admission fee into the park.

ETA: You could try Tanner Park (should be close to you and has a little beach) or Venetian Shores....
