Anyone have a party at Hoyt Farm?

I just had some questions...

How were you able to keep your cold dishes (hero, salads) cold while there?

I live in Farmingville so I know I wouldnt be able to get the permit but my grandmother lives in Commack so I figured she would be able to get it for me. Do you think I would encounter any problems with that? Like do they ask to see the permit and then a license when you're there to set up?

Any other tips??

I went to a GREAT party there for a 4 yr old. The food was kept in coolers. Food mainly came from costco. Cold sandwiches, string cheese, bagel platters, fruit platters. Heres the thing, they started his party EARLY before the gate people came. I think maybe 10am. Thereafter, party guests had to pay 10 bucks to get in. Party was alot of fun. Kids ran through the sprinkler park and on the playground. We were there from like 10-3. It happened to be a kids party from my dd's school which was one of the most memorable ones. It was alot of fun!

Also adding, can you go to hoyts with your grandma driving your car. That way she hands her license to them and they put the sticker on your car.

As far as i know you just have to reserve it under her name and when you go to set up just say your helping her if they ask.

We just had the twins christening there. The permit would be in your grandmother's name. We are TOS residents but actually had a waiter we hired go and reserve the tables and set up while we were at the church. We had the food catered and they delivered it to the park for us, so it wasnt sitting outside all day. It was a great party and I would recommend it. Lots of fun for the kids!
