Anyone have a problem with the smallest size shoe being too big?
I am between size 5 1/2 and 6. With boots and sneakers, I wear socks to make a 6 work. Today I really wanted a pair of Steve Madden slip on shoes but the 6 was a little too big. Is there something to put in shoes to make them fit? This makes me buying shoes so hard.

Re: Anyone have a problem with the smallest size shoe being too big?
How big are they? Would a heel grip work? They also make these things that I saw on TV - like an As Seen on TV product so I am not so sure how it works- but it goes in the front of the shoe.
I have an issue with pumps falling off my feet all the time. I wanted to try the ones that go in the front since the heel grips don't work in my case but haven't gotten around to it

They are big where I could use a half size down but it doesn't come in 5 1/2, but not terribly big but came up a bit in back when I walked. I just ordered them online anyway and will play around with them when I get them at home and see what I can do.

Re: Anyone have a problem with the smallest size shoe being too big?
So my favorite, most comfy, only pair of pumps I can wear (Rockport total motions) have this issue where the left one is like 1/2 size bigger than the right. I don't know if it stretched out, or if my feet are just THAT effed up but the right one fits perfect and the left one I am walking out of to the point where I feel like I need a half a size down!
It's so frustrating because I love them and pumps NEVER EVER fit me.
I used like 4 heel grips to build up the back. Nope. Didn't work. They just made the shoe fit funny.
I even have resorted to shoving tissues in the front of the shoe. It works a bit, but then my toes start hurting from being squished.
I might try the as seen on TV things

I feel like I have seen some inserts of different kinds in stores. The right shoe fit better than the left, and I went home without buying. I looked online and it was free shipping, so I just ordered them, as coupon expired today and if they don't work, I'll just return them

What about gel inserts ? They tend to be a bit thicker than foam insoles.
I wish I had that problem. I'm a 10-1/2 regular / wide width depending upon the shoe. Really hard size to find.

Yes! I wear a 5 and often have no choice but to get a 6 because lots of shoes don't come in a 5. I've used the gel inserts in heels which helps. For flats I usually just deal with them being big as long as they're not falling off my feet. Sometimes I just can't make it work, though, and have to pass on certain shoes.
