Anyone have a problem with the Summer..
Hand held monitor? I love mine and am so dissapointed because after only 5 months, it doesn't work unless it's plugged in. If I unplug it it just goes black & makes a bunch of noise. I am going to email them and hopefully get a new monitor. Anyone experience this?

Yeah, we have that problem too which is why we hardly use it anymore. We live in an apartment anyway so it's really that necessary for us anymore.

I had a problem too. I called them and they sent a new one no charge to me. They didn't even question anything. I just had to send them back the broken one at there cost.

Re: Anyone have a problem with the Summer..
Haven't used mine yet but opened it the other day. In the instructions it says to NOT charge the monitor until the low battery light goes on which I thought was kinda wierd, but maybe that has something to do with it??

Let me know what they say because ours does the same thing. It only really works plugged in, once we unplug it the battery dies in less than 15 mins.

Contact Summer. They will typically send you a new one within your child's first year. And ask them for the overnight shipping!

Screw the email! (I mean this nicely) Call their customer support number and firmly let them know you need a new one overnight and you will return the old with their prepaid shipping label. There is a one year warranty.
