thanks! ive done some back in the day when i had a machine, and now i am dying to start my own business and quit this freaken job!!!
i guess i can just splurge on a great machine....
so much for the next lens i was wanting!

fabric stores may sell used ones
or a sewing machine repairman may have old ones

Target carries Singer sewing machines now and I don't think they are that much. I already have one so I didn't look that closely but I was in that aisle recently getting needles and saw them.

You can get a decent new one for $200 (Singer). Target, HSN, Sears, Walmart.
You may need a better one if you have a commercial application. You will burn the motor quickly if you sew all day. Maybe a Pfaff but those are expensive.

hehehe, I got one fro Christmas last year, used a few times and tucked away never to see the light of day for while!
Dan got it in Target. It's nice, not too expensive!
