My mother wants some sort of a tablet. My husband and I are HUGE Mac fans and have just about one of everything they make. DH insists she get an iPad. I'm debating it though....she has a fabulous iMac and all she wants the tablet for is internet, maybe books. She will basically only use it on the second floor of her house and MAYBE work (the firewall there is nuts). She won't get 3G. I think we should consider other tablets or e-readers.

Anyone have another brand of tablet or e-reader with internet?

How's the battery?

How reactive is the touchscreen?

Does it get glitchy on some websites?

Do you think my mother will be calling us all the time saying something isn't working right/she can't access stuff?

Do you think we will just be upgrading her to in iPad in no time anyway?
