Anyone have an Endocrinologist that is really good? In Nassau please!!
I'm thinking of switching mine and would like recs. If they specialize in diabetes/insulin problems - all the better!!

i go to North shore diabetes and endocrine associates and i see dr bloom in new hyde park rioght off teh northern state

My DH has had him for years (He's Type 1 Diabetes). He prefers to go to Dr. Vaswani for everything. Doesn't even go to PCP anymore.
When I googled him to get the info I came up with this link and readers comments are great...
Another reader recommends Dr. Vaswani:

I love her!!! She is my diabetes specialist. She also works out of Lake Success at 2 Prohealth in the LS quad.

So far, she's the only name that came up on my insurance website as approved, but the website is really outdated so I'm going to call anyway.

i have thyroid issues and pcos... my aunt is a really bad bed diabetic.... she swirched to vaswani from her regualr endorcrinologist when she was pregnant and never switched back

I have 2 Dr. Aloia in Mineola and Dr. Klass in New Hyde Park, both specialize in your areas and are WONDERFUL! Dr. Klass is so good you have to wait at least 2 months before you can see him but well worth it! Good luck

Hi all -
I know this is an old post but decided to give it a try anyway.
Has anyone ahd any experience with thyroid nodules? My husband has had to get a thyroid uptake iodine snad b.c the dr thinks he has a hypoactive thyroid. and then the radiologist found some nodules. He seems to think they are benign but I guess they still need to do an ultrasound. he says sometimes you can develop nodules if u have an uderactive thyroid b.c not enough of the hormones are being replaced?????
anyway, can anyone she some light on this or have a similar experience?
