Mine is leather. I was afraid to get the fabric because of my cat. She doesn't seem to want to scratch on the leather.

We got one for DS - inexpensive and we got the whole bed (headboard and rails). Very nice for the price.

We love it. Here's an old picture from when we first got our bedroom furniture about 2 years ago. We got it at Raymour and Flannigan, and the quality is top notch.
