Anyone have any ideas about adding more protein to breakfast.
trying to add more protein to my diet, but breakfast is hard for me.
I love eggs, but I am not to keen on yogurt (I have to be in the mood). any recipes, tricks, ideas you can share?

Breakfast is such an important part of losing weight. If possible...wake up even a min earlier a day to cook up some egg whites.

I don't know if you like Cottage Cheese or Part Skim Riccotta. But there both good How about. Peanut butter with apples my new favirote. not too much peanut butter tho.
I just recently found out that I'm pushing Diabetic. So my nutrisinist wants me to eat protein with all my meals and it is hard.
I'm a very pickie eater so that doesn't help.
I also have a thyroid problem that still isn't under control.
How about protein bars are there any ones you like.

Egg whites (more than two)
Cottage cheese
Do you have time for a shake? Try 1 cup of skim milk, half of a frozen banana (or 1/2 cup of berries) and 1 tbsp. of PB blended well.
Zone perfect bars taste pretty good, too. But you may want more than 7 grams of protein for breakfast.

Some cereals have protein in them, like Optimum Power. I eat it with fresh fruit on top.
Oooh, also, I just remembered my favorite new breakfast! Protein pancakes!
Let me see if I can remember the recipe (it's also in the Eating for LIfe cookbook).
1 cup of fat-free cottage cheese 1 cup of whole oats 6 egg whites some cinnamon 1 packet of sweetener (I just add a little sugar instead) 1 tsp vanilla extract I also add 2 tsp of baking powder so they puff up a little
I think that's it. Put all in a blender and blend on high until smooth. You know the rest.....

Re: Anyone have any ideas about adding more protein to breakfast.
I make egg/oatmeal pancakes... they are good and they have protein!
I take 3 egg whites and 1 whole egg and mix in about 1/2 cup of oats. Add 2 tspns of cinnamon and a dash of nutmeg and 1 little splash of vanilla. until it is thick and all incorporated. Heat a pan and spray with PAM. Then pour the mixture in and cook it like a pancake until it is cooked through.. about 1 minute each side.
I top it with fruit and/or a little bit of honey and wash it down with fat free milk. Delicious!
