Anyone have any info on how to receive services on medicare/medicaid?

My dad is 64, has had Alzheimers for the past 10+ years and is on disability. Last week he had what the doctor referred to as a seizure. It was scary, but he's doing the same, which is not good. My mom cares for him and has realized that she needs help. She was told that since he's on disability he qualifies for things like a home health aide, a wheelchair, speech therapy etc.

Anyone have any idea on how I can find more info about this?

Is he actually on Medicare yet or are you asking about how he can get it? For Medicare to kick in for a person who is under the age of 65, the person would have to have collected 24 months worth of Social Security Disability benefits. I can answer some questions about that. There are agencies that help people to get the services but I believe that a doctor can give you some information about that. For Medicaid eligibility, I would recommend an elder care attorney.

I am a social worker for people who primarily have Medicaid as their insurance and the system stumps me every day so I would 100% recommend using an attorney who specializes in it. Many of the people I work with had to go this route to get Medicaid because they were not previously disabled, had long work histories, etc.
