anyone have bad cramps after iui?
last cycle....and now this one ( today was first of 2 b2b iuis) i have had terrible cramps.
they did iui and then for the next 45 min or so it was like day one of af cramps.
they said it can be normal when its inserted high into uterus...but omg!!! the pain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
anyone else????

Yes I am familiar with that. It can be a bit uncomfortable depending on how and where the catheter was placed during the procedures. Definitely try to get some rest. I usually just tried to sleep it off with a warm compress.

yes, I had the same thing, bad cramps for a couple of hours after both my IUIs, definitely put your feet up and rest.

ty..... so glad i am not alone.....but what if you cant go rest??? tomorrow i have to go straight to work .......omg!!!!
today i was able to sleep for a couple hours before work...sigh...what we do right?? lol

Yes! Dr B wanted us to  the night of of second IUI and I couldn't bring myself to do I was pretty sore!

asked dr b and he said to tonight ..the night of second iui.... i guess just to make sure to cover all the time windows???
so yups we so much sperm so little time ahhaahahah

I am so glad you are feeling better. I was feeling better with intermittent small cramps but when I decided to go ahead with the deed (LOL) yesterday, I got intense cramps right after. Had to stay in bed for a while. Today, I got up with a bit of constant cramping. I am on 4dpiui.
Oh, and lets not forget my huge bloating belly and my boobs are killing me. Can't even touch them....wearing a bra on a constant basis (sorry TMI)

i heard that cramping after IUI might be caused by seminal fluid remaining in the sperm that is inserted into uterus.

Thanks I read that too on some of the research I did.
I also read ovulation and the release of mature eggs; since your body is only used to releasing 1 and more than 1 can cause it I read on some other site, that it could be due to the procedure itself. I guess there are so many things that could cause it.
