Anyone have family or friends in London?

Hello-

My family and I are looking to attend the Olympic Track and Field events in London from August 3-11. We are avid home exchangers but are having a hard time securing a home exchange in London. I figured I would ask here....

We can exchange my 3 bedroom home in Long Island (1 mile from LIRR) for a flat in London.

Or

We can exchange an apartment in Manhattan (brand new, 2 bedrooms) for a flat in London.

I would check the Guardians website, they had an article on this a few weeks ago in their travel section, specifically to do with home swaps. I would think that an apartment in NYC is going to draw more attention. Also, try Loot or Time Out London, you might have some good luck with that also. I post on several boards for Americans living in the UK and there are lots of Londoners on there, I will post to see if anyone is interested. Where in NYC is the apartment?
