Anyone have invisble fence? does it work well?
we are trying to consider our options until we fence in the entire yard.....
it's between an invisible or getting a small chain link pen for the little guy

my parents have it for their little dog and it works very well. they love it and the dog learned very quickly not to go through it

Our neighbors dog goes thru the electric ALL DAY long. And generally wanders the neighborhood, drives everyone else's dogs crazy and sh!ts on my front lawn and lifts his leg on my porch!!

It depends on the type of dog. Dogs with really strong personalities could careless about it and will take the shock going in and out. I would get the dog run. That way you don't have to worry at all about them getting out.

Re: Anyone have invisble fence? does it work well?
i think it also depends on the size of the dog - my parents have a small dog, which might be why it works well. i've heard of people having trouble with bigger dogs

Re: Anyone have invisble fence? does it work well?
DH and I were against the electric fence also but Cosmo is a "runner". We know that once he is off the property we'd never see him again. Someone has already tried to steal him (yes, someone tried to take him but b/c of the fence they couldn't get him off the property) so we opted for the fence b/c he won't go anywhere near the edge of the property now that its installed.
When we take him for walks we take the collar off and DH actually has to lift him over the property line - its hilarious.
