Anyone have issues finding rugs that they like?
I search high and low with no luck. I find so many in the stores to be so hideous..either the material or the pattern.
of course, the ones I do tend to like are spot-clean only, which won't work for this household.
Where else can I look?

Re: Anyone have issues finding rugs that they like?
I spent months looking for the perfect area rug (color, pattern, quality, etc.) that I liked and could afford and then followed advice on here and went to a rug store (Harry Katz, Mineola) and found a perfect bound remnant there that was ready to go. It is a 9 x 18 textured carpet remnant that fit perfectly in our living room, for less than $300. DH threw it in the back of his jeep and we were done!

Re: Anyone have issues finding rugs that they like?
i just went to a carpet store and bought 2 area rugs (one is 7'x5', the other is 5'x6) for just under $200. They were remnants of high quality carpets that I had squared and bound. Sometimes it's hit or miss, especially if you're looking for a specific pattern, but it's a great option if you're looking for a nice area rug for a fraction of the cost.

Re: Anyone have issues finding rugs that they like?
I had the same problem! I also searched the usual places. Someone mentioned Target and I thought PFFFFT Target, right.
Well, we wound up finding one there we really liked and it's held up to two people and two dogs very well! The dogs love to tear @ss around on it and it looks as good as the day we bought it (when it's properly vacuumed of the dog hair)
