Anyone have Microsoft Office 2007?
I had to reinstall Windows on my computer and it wiped Office out of my system. I was thinking of picking up the 2007 version cause it's on sale for $99 at Staples. Any reviews?

i have it .. its a little different then the old office and takes some getting used to but once you do its fine

i use it..it its a little different with all the menu bars at the top. but once you figure out where to find it, its pretty much the same programs you're used to.

Thanks everyone. I downloaded the free trial and am going to check it out for a few days before I buy it. It's def different, but I guess the functionality is the same.

I have it. I hate it. But my company is transitioning to 2007 so I am using it at home and trying to get used to it.

My new laptop came with Office 2007 and I kinda hate that everything is set up differently, BUTTTTT the Powerpoint program has SO many new and better options for making presentations so I love that!
I'm SO mad though because I didn't buy the Office 2007 together with my laptop (it was on sale for $30! at the time, for black friday) because I was confused and it totally didn't make sense that it would only be $30 so I thought it was something else. Now, of course, I have to shell out much more to get it because the laptop only came with a 90 day trial

That does stink that you'll have to pay more money, but it's on sale this week at Staples for $99 (normally $149). Thanks for the feedback. I downloaded the trial from the Microsoft website but haven't checked out PowerPoint yet. I'll make sure to do that tonight.

I agree. I'm a software *****. I always go for the latest software as soon as it's available.

I'm getting used to it. I save my word documents so that if I send them to people who have older versions of word, they can open them. I use the .doc extension and not the .docx. This usually does not matter, as I convert documents to .pdf most of the time. It's a good thing to remember, though.

Ah interesting - so this means that the 07 version saves as .docx? (unless you change the file type). Do you know if it's just in word or also Excel and PPT?
