Anyone have plantar facitiis? Excersize question.....
I had PF many years ago. I saw a podiatrist, she suggested I lose weight which was obvious that I needed to do but easier said than done...anyway I lost 60 pounds and the pain was 100% gone. Fast forward about 4 years and I have since gained the weight back. Yesterday I woke up with that familiar pain again. I need to lose weight yet again and fast before I end up in more pain or something worse happens. I have tried to lose weight and its very hard for me for several reasons. Anyway I am going to do the food end of it to the fullest however I feel at this point I really need to exercise as well. I belong to a gym. The thing with PF is that you should not put any excess force on the feet so using the treadmill is not an option. I am going to do things like leg lifts and sit ups at home but I need to do cardio so my question is - do you think the elliptical machine and/or the bike is safe to do? Do either of them impact your feet the same way as the treadmill does? Any advice?
Thank you so much in advance!

I am in the same boat and being back at my heaviest weight I have to stick to low impact stuff. Mine really flared when I started running, even though I was thinner than I had been in a long time.
The elliptical and the bike never bothered mine. I even took spinning classes and those were fine too.

This is great news! Thank you!
Hope your pain lessens up soon.
