Anyone have their childs birthday at the Long Island Childrens Museum?
I'm thinking of having the twins' 2nd birthday at the LICM. Anyone have a party for their DC there before or been to one there? How was it? TIA!

I went to one and was not impressed but 3/4 of it took place in that open play room on the first floor. It's cool that you can stay for the day though, although we didn't bc of other plans. I just thought for being in that room we could have just been at any play place.

I have been to one that utilized the Tot Spot area and it was fun. I believe they also did a craft in the party room.

I actually agree my ds had fun. I guess I worded my response kind of negatively. I think the reason I found it lacking is that I was expecting something more representative of allll the rest of the exhibits there. To spend most the time in that play area I would rather do a party at once upon a treetop or something.

Re: Anyone have their childs birthday at the Long Island Childrens Museum?
I had two birthday parties there. We did the "science" party for my daughter when she was 5 and then the "spy" party for the same daughter when she turned 7. Both included visiting multiple exhibits and were lots of fun. They take care of everything, food, cake, entertainment. We just showed up with party favors (although you can buy those too from the gift shop). We had the parties in the morning, and both times a number of friends stayed for an extended playdate in the museum. I would totally recommend it.

We had DD's 3rd birthday there. The package we did was the story time one. They read a book then did a craft that went along with it. They then took them to the tot spot to play. After was cake and that was it. Unfortunately I can't comment on how organized and smoothly the party went since I wasn't there. I got very sick the night before and was too sick to go. According to DH is was well organized and all the kids had fun.
