Anyone have Verizon FIOS?

We were thinking about switching from Optimum Online to Verizon FIOS and was wondering if anyone had done so and what they think.

Before anyone asks, we have Direct TV so we don't get any deal from Cablevision.

You mean four in one service?

I had their DSL and it was the more horrible hideous moneya nd time wasting experiment of my life. But they claim they have updated it a lot since then. And they must have because if it stayed as bad as it was for the year I had it (they make ou sign a contract) it wouldn;t be around for very long

dont have fios but just to let you know cablevision is currently testing an upgraded version of ool that is going to give 20mb/2mb which would be faster then the fios of 15/2 and also with fios you have to sign a 1yr contract. Also if you dont have cablevision now they have some great packages if you currently have satellite, even if you dont want the phone. You could get the gold package+ool for 89.90 a month.

If your still hung up on fios i would wait till nov-dec by then fios tv should be out, and you may get a deal for taking more services

FIOS is a fiber optic system, not DSL. It's more that I don't want to have to deal with Cablevision if I don't have to.

Cablevision does not offer channels that I currently get on DirecTV and I enjoy watching and don't see why I need to settle. I find their sales team extremely aggressive and obnoxious, and if I were considering switching they don't have a chance after sending the jerk they did to my door last fall.
