I have been interviewing for teaching jobs, but in the meantime, I was called for an interview in a district very close to my house for a teaching assistant position. They want certified NYS teachers to fill these positions.

This is not something I have ever considered because the salary is SO much lower than that of full time teachers, however, I am looking at it as a possible foot in the door.
