Anyone into kombucha?
DH got me into kombucha drinks. At first I thought they were vile, but I acquired a taste for them and now I'm addicted. They are fermented so it kind of tastes like when juice goes bad... Lol. But they have probiotics in them and i have felt so much better since drinking them. My stomach problems have improved and my skin has been glowing!
I drink the GT Synergy kombucha drinks... They come in bottles at health food stores. I love the fruit flavored ones!

I had tried them at Whole Foods and liked them but they had stopped selling them. I wonder if they will bring the fresh ones back.

They are pricey 
I can't get them too often - the cheapest I have found them were at Fairway for around 3.19, I think....

Usually everything I do is research based. I am on the fence about Andrew Weil in general.... but I personally have felt better after drinking them. I suffer from IBS and my stomach has felt so much better since I started drinking them.... I don't subscribe to any miracle ointment, or juice, etc... but I have to say, I have felt a difference drinking these.
I would never pay $4.00 for one drink....

You found legitimate research that supports the claims made by Kombucha makers? Done on humans? Please send a link if you have one. I would be very interested in reading it.

No - I didn't. I meant to say that I usually follow research, but in this case I took a chance based on things my husband and friends have said drinking it. Usually not my style, but what the hell... My stomach is so bad I was willing to take a chance...

It didn't hurt me... but I will say this... The first week I did it, TMI - I... ahem... went a LOT.... I almost stopped because I was like What the EFF, but then once I got through that, my stomach stopped bothering me!!!
