I joined about 2 years ago for the discovery health challenge and just signed up again today -- they give you a free 8 week pass so it's a good way to try it out before you join.
if you go to discovery.com there will be links for the health challange.
i've always been happy with it. i mostly use the cardio equipment and the track. i also will use the exercise balls/mats when there isn't a class going on and do some pilates-type work in there.
if you are unsure they also offer a free 2-week pass on the website to try it out, or a trial first month for only $19.00.
