anyone know a good surgeon?
I am so upset right now. annoyed is more like it.
I have an Inguinal hernia that has doubled in size, is buldging and has some worst days than others. i am only 7 months and already gained about 20 lbs. Plus i carry all in the front. My dr. in the beginning told me i could have a surgeon there at the hospital when my scheduled c-section is and they can do it right after but then last month changed his mind and said he doesnt think they can do it. So he sent me to the surgeon. I just left for a late lunch break so i could head to the dr and see what he suggests. Well, he told me there isnt anything he can do (which i knew) and there isnt any support i can use for it. But was very short with me and held the door knob through most of my questions. Im sorry, were my 4 minutes of office time up??? So then i asked him if maybe scheduling my c-section at 38 would be better? and he laughed while opening the door and walking out, so i said "im seriously asking you this" and he continued out and said, call me after the baby is here.
So.....now that i know i have time, ill be looking for a new surgeon. anyone know of any??

i don't know where you are located - but i had spinal surgery 4 years ago and have an OUTSTANDING neurosurgeon in NJ.
I also know of a great one in CT (my brother went to him - because he was so good - he lives in Queens - but traveled to CT for the good doc)..
i don't know anyone would TOUCH you until after the baby - but it can't hurt to ask...

Ugh, he sounds like a jerk.
A surgeon may not want to do the hernia surgery the same time as the c/s because of complications. For example, my husband had a hernia a while back and was also going to have weightloss surgery. While doing both at the same time was a possibility, the doctor chose to do them months apart because if there were complications, it would be difficult to figure out if it was because of the hernia or because of the gastric bypass.
