anyone know about bakugans?
hey all-
my godson asked santa for bakugans. i went to target and bought 12 'starter packs'; each starter pack comes with 3 of these meatball-transformer things....
which ones are the Cool bakugans, or the hard-to-find ones? i plan on giving him 4 packs, but i dont know which ones to choose...
any suggestions?

Re: anyone know about bakugans?
I should give you my 8 year old nephew's phone # - he's an expert and cound probably offer a tutorial. He has about 20 or 25 My DS has 4 or 5 I have no idea about which are the cool ones - I guess they have certain power but you don't know when buying them, you have to scratch it off. I think....
I'm surprised you found some in the stores, they are a hot item.

Re: anyone know about bakugans?
My 10 year old nephew is into these things. He has been mad because all the stores are sold out or have limited choices.
There is a comic book store in the village of lindenhurst and I told him they have alot there. He called me this morning to tell me he is VERY VERY happy. He got some that had "alot of power" and were "rare" --
Um ok whatever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My son has some. I don't know which are cool and which aren't, nor does he, but he likes them. They are hard to find so it's good you found some at Target. The launcher is a good thing to get also and maybe the arena.

Re: anyone know about bakugans?
THESE THINGS ARE RIDICULOUS if i hear about them again i may close my sons mouth with tape lol
you wont know which ones are "rare" until you buy them and open them up..the numbers are on the insides of them..the higer numbers are the best,,my son has over 35 of these things, they range anywhere from 200 power to like 600 or 700 i think..
the only way you can get the "rare" ones identifyably, is by buying them on ebay and looking up "rare bakugan"
the kids bring them to school and "battle" with them..and trade em theyre kinda the same idea as Pokemon and Yu Gi oH CARDS..
Baileys Comics in lindenhurst always has em, Fun Stuff in seaford.. the christmas store in bayshore mall (although they are WAY overpriced there) toys r us in bayshore had em a few nites ago with a limit of 2 per customer.. craziness cabage patch kids were MUCH cuter to stand in line for, for our parents!! lol

I found some in KMart in Penn Station of all places. Everyplace I looked was sold out - except for the EBay pirates, of course.

Re: anyone know about bakugans?
Another nephew of mine who is 7 1/2 lives upstate and never heard of them. He was fascinated. My DS brought one to school and he "traded it" with someone on the bus and never got one back so I had to teach him a whole lesson about that. And then another kid wanted him to bring one in and he'd give him a yellow highlighter - and my 6 year old was excited. That was another lesson. Then I said no trading anything. I don't like that at all.

Re: anyone know about bakugans?
the Christmas store at the mall is SOOOO expensive on them though, i suggest if youre gonna buy them that you dont pay over 14 for the 3 pack..and 25 for the tin..(i think 6 come in it)
