Anyone know about La Viola in Syosset ?
Are they closed??
A few weeks ago when I passed, they were taking down the awning that had the name of the restaurant on it. I just thought that since we had that heavy wet snow, they were repairing it.
Then today, I drove past, and the windows were all covered and taped up, and there were men re-doing the facade.
So, are they open? Closed for renovations? Closed for good?
I loved that place and was thinking of going again soon... It doesn't say anything that I could find on their website.

I had heard that they were going out of business. The other day I was looking at one of the town papers and there was an ad for LaViola but the one in Cedarhurst it didn't mention the one that use to be in syosset. Try calling the one in Cedarhurst myabe they can tell you

It closed , There is only the Cedarhurst location now....
I am very sad about this. was my families favorite restaurant since I was a teenager... Lots of family events were held there including my bridal shower... My DH also met my parents there for dinner fo rhte first time...
Good thing for me is that my DH father lives in Woodmere so we go to the Cedarhurst location alot..

 So sad, I wonder why, I always felt like it was packed! I wonder what will be put there in its place - it seems like they are already re-doing it for something!
And my parents are in East Rockaway, close to Cedarhurst, so I guess I could always go there.
