Anyone know about retirement investments
I am enrolling in TIAA-CREF retirement fund and I am clueless about which funds to choose. I think I want to go with those that are moderately agressive but I dont know which of my chooses are those. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Anyone know about retirement investments
Well - they have guidelines somewhere on how you should allocate your assets based on your age. Generally though if you are young (20s & 30s) and have a good amount of time before you plan on retiring - you should allocate a good portion of your assets in aggressive growth funds. If you arent comfortable with that, then put it in 50% aggressive growth and 50% more stable (medium growth or fixed income funds)... That's how i would handle it - but you have to do what you are comfortable with.

Thanks for the help. If I know I want to do some fixed income do you know the difference between my two choices - Bond Market Account or Inflation-Linked Bond Account?

Unfortunately I dont - but does the site let you see the historical perfromance of the funds? i usually look at the long term performance and pick the one that has done better - if i have narrowed it down to two funds....

A bond market fund is more conservative. It depends on how risky or conservatively you want to invest your momey.
