anyone know anything about dyslexia..?

my son's teacher and i have suspision about my son (5 years old) and its too early to get him tested..i'm just looking for info! TIA

At five its a little early to be diagnosed but it could be watched. I will ask the reading teacher at school though she has alot of knowledge in this

thank you...yeah i'm being told they don't really test for it until first grade, it just seems like a waste of a year of intervention to me.

I agree it is a little early, because at this age they are writing letter and numbers backwards.
Most times, the issue is developmental. I would still see if they can offer "at-risk" services without evaluating him. It would definitely be an advantage to him.
