Anyone know anything about Master Cylinders?(brakes-car)
I don't! But when I described to my dad what my car was doing, he said it sounded like it was going bad.
I am going to have it checked out tomorrow.
But, does anyone know how much money this would cost to fix, or does it vary?
I am a nervous wreck!

My Dh said it depends on what kind of car you have and that it can be $400 to $500

I'm almost positive my DH just had to get this fixed on his car. He had a bunch of other stuff wrong with it too and it cost us almost $900 I'll ask him how much the master cylinder cost...it was just a portion of that $900.

Thanks, turns out it was not the master cylinder, but I need new brakes! I just got them 2 years ago....and then he listed a bunch of other stuff to be done, totalling almost 750 dollars!
My dads calling tomorrow to get the real scoop, since I could nto remember it all, and I am sure my dad will know more of what is a necessity and what is not.

Re: Anyone know anything about Master Cylinders?(brakes-car)
It depends on the type of car, and if the lines also need to be replaced. On my old truck it was $900 total for the cylinder & all the connecting lines. On DH new truck it would be about $500.
I am glad that it was not the MS.
