Anyone know Dr. Alan Mechanic - Neurosurgeon?
Does anyone have any experience with Dr. Alan Mechanic? He's Chief of Neurosurgery at Huntington Hospital. TIA!

I don't, but if you are looking for an excellent Neurosurgeon, my dad had a very risky brain surgery almost 2 years ago and used Dr. Chaliff at North Shore Manhasset. He was great, everything went perfectly, he was very supportive for my mom, sister and I and my dad is completely healthy now, with very minor side effects from the surgery

My father has also used this surgeon and I must say he is the sharpest doctor I have ever met. My friends who are on staff at the hospital, refer to him as the neurosurgery department's "rock star."

If you are looking for a Neurosurg at Huntington...I believe that Dr. Insinga is also there....AWSOME doc. Chalif is excellent also.
