anyone know if you can pay cash at Yankee stadium at the box office for day of tix?
no answer on stadium phone. tia

I dont think you will be able to. Everything is now cashless. If you want to pay cash you have to convert it to a card at the stadium, and being that you want to pay before you get in, it might not work.

thanks i appreciate it.
i really think it's awful that they (maybe all MLB i don't know) are doing this. there are seniors who don't have smart phones etc or even folks who don't have credit/bank cards who can't go to a game.

They have machines that you can put in cash and they give you a card to use for people who don't have debit or credit cards.
Edited to say I saw this at Jones Beach and almost all places don't take cash anymore.

I have only seen inside. Don't know how the box office works or if there is one near them.

thanks, i got an email address for someone in ticket sales. no cash at box office. she didn't say if there was a machine outside to convert cash to card and i didn't think to ask but i'm assuming if they did she would have offered that up as a solution.

A simple fix for this would be to go buy a Visa gift card and then purchase the tickets with that

Yankee stadium is completely cashless
There is an atm inside and I was there getting some cash and the employee proceeded to tell me no one will accept my cash. I said it’s for tip money. Will they accept cash tips? She shut up real quick.
It is very frustrating when cash isn’t accepted because it discriminates against a lot of people who don’t have debit or credit cards.

Do you know many people who don’t have a debit or credit card as I honestly don’t know anyone (old enough to have them)?
